When you guys are on the trail and see other people riding quads, do they ever look at you like your some kind of suicidal maniac? Today I took my 90 to the honda shop, and the guy who was helping me get it off my truck was like "man, this thing just looks dangerous". Its weird:rolleyes:

i get that sometimes, but usually the people just turn, follow me with their heads, and stare. some people act like they never saw a 3 wheeler before, or if you ride them your going to automatically get killed. did you tell the guy that their only dangerous if you act stupid on them.

No I didn't. I told him it belongs to my 10 year old brother, haha you should have seen the look on his face. Yeah just like you said, everyone has a preconcieved notion that your as good as dead if you get on one.

i get that allot here. i would be at the honda shop and say i need a part and they are like "well them things are deadly and you should invest in something newer and safer" i just chuckle and shake my head and order my parts. ive told people many of times its mostly the person that makes them deadly. but they wont listen so all i do is chuckle and shake my head.

DID YOU MAKE THAT!!!??? WANT TO TRADE??? (it was a 06 trx 250) I told him no thanks and thanked him for the compliment and told him what it was, later on his dad cought up with me and even agread it was a sick machine and would I trade! lol! some people!

Here in Minnesota we have had some reports about ATV's being "Dangorous". The DNR is puting cameras in some of the northern trails that are "Off limits" and catching people riding in these areas.

The media has showed video of accidents on TV and how these machines are not to be used and how many people are killed each year. All footage is of 4-wheelers and show small kids on these huge machines rolling over or hitting something.

This is the same type of footage that was used to have 3-wheelers put out of production back in the late '80s. The only differance I saw was the machines are now LARGER, FASTER, and can more dammage.

I think you will see a new bunch of people after 4-wheelers just like 3-wheelers soon. So tell the next person that makes acusations about three wheelers that the 4-wheeler may find the same faite some day. Then ask these people if they feel the 4-wheelers should be banned?:wondering ;)

Whenever people see me on my atc250r I always get the "wow your insane" lingo. But then again I never see these guys jump 20 foot into the air on their brand new quads let alone a 22 year old threewheeler.

Come to think of it, I get the same exact speech from all but my riding buddies since i have been riding my new 450r...

The only guys that bust my chops are local freinds that I ride with. "oh that thing is too small or too slow" or "when you gonna get a quad?" referring to my 20+ year old 250sx. That was before I built my tri z though.. (they don't even know I have one!) :naughty:

In a few weeks I'll take it out and ride with them guys on there 400ex's, 250x's and a few smaller 4X4's... I'm gonna be roostin all of em! :TrikesOwn

As for strangers though.. I always get compliments on how nice of shape it's in or how they haven't seen one of those in years type of statements. Brings a smile to my face everytime. :)

ha ha, i was sitting at an intersection here in town a week or two ago after i got my tri-z running waiting to cross the street. There must have been 10 or 12 cars going through and a truck went by with a kid (prolly 15 or 16) with his face glued to the window as they drove by :D Yeah, he has either never seen one, or really liked it, kinda hard to tell with his face smooshed against the window. I usually have people either give me a big wave or a look of bewilderment  Probably one of my favorite things about riding one is all the looks i get

I have so much fun just telling people I have a 3 wheeler, then listening to their reactions. :D

No one here really does anything when they see a 3 wheeler. No one gives you lectures how dangerous they are or say how much better there quads are. Alot of people still have 3 wheelers here though, but most of them arnt rode or just used for putting around on. Most of them have utility trikes and smaller non suspended ones, only a few have fully suspended ones and seriously ride them as a daily rider.

I also just forgot about today actually.. I walked into the court house and a man at the desk asked how my quad was running, I told him I now had a 3 wheeler and he said you gotta be careful on thoes things, or something along thoes lines. Truth is I actually wrecked my old 4 wheeler way more times than my 200x. I actually never wrecked it once. Only a few times in snow doing 360's on a road (in snow.) and went into a ditch but nothing serious.

THe MORONS that I occasionaly run into that say ""Aren't those dangerous" ?? I always tell them..."It's like a loaded handgun, sitting on the kitchen table. It's only as dangerous as the person that picks it up."

3 Wheelers are as dangerous as the person that's riding them.

To ride a 3 wheeler...you have to LEARN HOW to ride a 3 wheeler.

To ride a stand up jet ski...you have to LEARN HOW to ride a stand up jet ski.

To ride a couch jet ski...you have to LEARN HOW to ride a couch jet ski.

To ride a dirt bike...you have to LEARN HOW to ride a dirt bike.

To ride a snowmobile...you have to LEARN HOW to ride a snowmobile.

To ride a quad...you have to LEARN HOW to ride a quad.

Usually everyone just stares at me as I ride along. Every once in a while I'll get a few people stop me and say something to the effect that they used to have a 3-wheeler back in the day and they where tons of fun, and that they haven't seen one forever.
On the other hand I get a bunch of people say "man, those things are dangerous!!" I feel like saying, "Your right, just last week my 200 shot two people in the back when they werent looking", and "No kiddin, I've died twice on my wheeler already, I should really stop before it happens again."
It really ticks me off though when people automatically assume that because youi only have 3 wheels that you "can't make it through that mud puddle", or "can't make it up that hill". It really tickles my insides when I go blasting around the dunes or snow where these trikes really shouldn't be able to make it, but they do.
