Ok I plan on ordering some new 10X8 douglas red labels from onlineparts.com and dont know the difference between the 3NX5B and 3BX5N offsets. What does the B and N stand for?
Thanks, BOB

my guess would be that b stands for back space or the inside offset....no idea what n would be.
id call and make sure

n=nose -- outside of rim where lug nuts go
b=bell -- inside of rim where wheel mounts to hub
In your first example 3Nx5B
The 3 is the offset on the outside (nose) of the rim
The 5 is the offset on the inside (bell) of the rim
On an 8" rim, with no offset it would be 4Nx4B - The weld down the center of the rim is the centerline

So the centerline of the rim (where the wheel meets the hub) is dead center down the middle of the rim.
With a 3Nx5B offset, you'll have more rim from the inner lip to the center than from the outer lip to the center.
With a 5Nx3B offset you'll have more rim from the outer lip to the center than from the inner lip to the center.
