Can the seal at the front sprocket on the final output shaft (drive chain) of the transmission be changed without splitting the cases? My sons bike developed a leak there and I need to change the seal. can I just pull the sprocket and remove seal ? Thanks ...

im not really for sure if you could try this or not but i have taken lots of seals out (NOT ON MY TRIKE) like this but i dunno if it would work on this application. take a small drill bit and drill 2 holes in the steel (outer) part of the seal (drill holes adjacent to each other) then install a screw in the holes u drill and vise grip a small slide hammer to the screws. this works well on some things, but usually they are larger seals than what you are talking about. i hope this helps you or at least gives you some good information, but as i said im not sure if it will work in this case. good luck.
