You can get your brand new rear Yamaha plastics right here (best price Ive found, I love mine!)!!!! You have to go Maier for the front though. The shrouds you can hook up through Aussieduner!

Good looking project you got on your hands there! How does it run? What did it set you back?

also i need a gas tank the one thats on there, the cap is broken off...ive seen some guys put a tank on top...is that a better way or should i stay stock...thx for the info...i did a search on the bdr 300 could find anything...
Ebay on the gas tank. There are some salvage yards you can call around also.Check the back of dirt wheels.Someone is bound to have a tank.I would stay with the stock gas tank if you trail ride. The exhaust is yours.I will pm you my pay pal addy here shortly.Nice find.
As far as the Big Dog 300???? I would think that it is bored out to a 280 and someone wrote that on there. But you never Know.It may have a custom sleeve in it.If it is a 300 kit,Your bore will be Like 77 milimeters in Diameter.I Guess????I would think they would have wrote that on the jug though.I will ship that exhaust out this week.

a few other things...what type of oil to go with..and the rads..flush them and put what in...what other things should i be looking for...it sat for 3-4 years what are the weak points on it...thx again...
You will get many opinions on oil.For the pre mix I run Maxima 927 44-1 ratio.Trans oil,I run a good 10w-30 or 10w40 Motor oil.Weak points,The swingarms like to crack right in front of the shock, rear axles bend easy,But banshee axles are a direct replacement.Flush the rads with water and run a good 50-50 mix of antifreeze and distilled water. Also check the waterpump. They are known to fail.Oem pumps are still available and YAMAHONDAMAN Makes Billet one piece pumps that wont break.I have some for sale and so does he.

For the oil, I have used 10W-40 before. After talking to some people though, Im going to go with a tranny fluid.
You should go through the carb while your cleaning. Just a good flush to avoid any problems. With the radiators, flush them out and fill it up with a regular 50/50 mix.

DONT DO IT !!! 10-40 OR Straight 50 Racing Valvoline or Kendall !! ....
Hey Head09 .... since you live 45 mins away from me .... you wanna "GIT" rid of THAT thing ? :naughty: .... OH .....
and as far as just cleaning "thing's" up .... my advise is to take the WHOLE thing apart and do it right ... there is TOO MUCH Rust on that thing .. the crank seals might be cracked and what not

crank seals are no problem on the TRI-Z ... BUT ... if ANY 2-stroke motor has set for some time .... the seals are not trustworthy
