I just picked up a 85 350X for $850. Is there anything I should watch out for. I will be picking it up in two weeks and then hitting the trails with it right after. I bought it for the trails. We have some tight trails in the upper lower part of michigan. I am a bigger guy so I wanted something a bit larger than the 200x. I will have too see if Sandpuppi or anyone else will be out there riding.

only thing to do is change the oil after every few rides and dont forget the filter or put it in backwards
backwards filters killed more them a few top ends

I usually change my oil on my trikes after a good weekend ride or two day only rides. So I should be alright, now should I change the filter everytime I change the oil? It might sounds silly but I know people that do that. Thank you

Glad to hear you got yourself a 350X,those machine's work great for our trails here in Michigan. For sure check the oil,and I would change the filter rite off thebat also.Take a look at the airfilter and all of the axle bolts as well as chain tension, you know the basic's.The biggest issue with that big thumper is the oil,and the way the cam is desinged to fit in the head, lack of oil on that machine and that head is toast.I hope you plan on making my ride this year Joe!

Yeah well depending on the date this year I am going to try my best. I would love to make the ride at the mounds. I am picking it up on the 14th so a week or two after that I am planning on making my first ride with it. I will probably do St. Helens with it for the day. I know there is a mix of stuff there and I can get it opened up. Remind me when your ride is in august this year and I will do my best to get there.
