Please Control The Pet Population...

This guy and his buddies have been hanging around the past few weeks. They come and go like our yard is a portage through the woods.

This was 7 AM this morning with the fog laying on the hills. Pretty decent sized animal, maybe 600lbs dressed. Its a pleasant site as the population indeed seems to be growing in our area. Our population had been over hunted and poached so it really wasn't looking good. The parents say this is the most moose they have seen here in over 40 years.

That would be a pretty cool site. Ive been noticing a lot of wildlife right here in the middle of the city, there is always deer running up and down the streets at night, footprints in our back yard, I seen a wild turkey the other day too.

We haven't had brave moose like that up in Nome yet, but we did have a polar bear wandering about the outskirts of town one day.
