its not big but about the size of a levers ball on the end. i had a great lead on a plastic used IMS fuel tank for my 200x but the guy keeps messing with me. 1st saying he told the cap to use it on another trike, then keeps saying sorry i forgot about you...tired of this after a weeks worth of emails.

anyway i am going to fix my metal tank. there is some rust in it but not much, but i search and saw i should try to find "Red Coat" so i'll try that, i can paint it my self and reapply factory looking stickers but i do not know how to get the dent or maybe i let it there and use some type of bond over it like body compond?

only other question i have it should i use paint remover to get all the old paint off, prime it and then paint and clear coat or just sand it down, prime, paint and clear coat.

let me know.

thanks

WELL....without seeing the severity of the dent I couldnt tell you what to do, I have some specialized tools that I use that push the dent out from the inside, along with some heat (propane can work) other than that im sure you dont have a stud gun (dent puller) to pull it from the outside, your best bet is to jsut fill it, I strip all tanks to bare metal then work them up.
