I have seen a few different solutions, but I need something simple. My mother has a 2001 Dodge Ram 1500 with a busted up dash. The rest of the truck looks brand new. Being since I do not live near her any more I am trying to find a some what simple solution to help her out. I thought a saw a plastic cover that simply goes over her existing dash. Was I wrong or does that exist?
bad news bud, the only replacement for that dash is a new one from chrysler, they all bust, every dodge I have inspected in the last 3 years has cracks, my 01 had cracks in it as well. as far as the plastic dash cover, I dont think that company makes one for the dodges you could put a carpet dash mat on and glue it down to the plastic to hold it. Good luck man!

Louis, I was gonna be a smart arse and say "replace it with a Ford"..........
Sorry, I could not resist.
And as all the others said, it si VERY common on a Dodge. My next door neighbor's has done the same thing, and he babys that truck.

I ahve seen those carpet mats. Sorry, but they look like ass. I have seen the plastic covers in a magazine write up a while back. But now I can not find the article. I know they are out there, I just have no idea how to find it.

I am not sure if I missed it or not. I could not find it by scrolling thorugh there selection. I plan to call them and ask them about it. What I am looking for a molded plastic cover that is specificly designed for this problem. I'll call them sometime this weekend.
