I was thinking about putting a 110cc lifan engine into my 110 frame since the engine in there now is destroyed. Would the stock 110 wiring harness fit the lifan engine? On the 110s engine there is 2 wires (black and yellow) coming out from the stator cover, but on the lifans there is about 10 and a little plug. Could I just eliminate all of thoes wires and just hook them up color for color to the 110s harness?

the lifan i used to have had 3 wires like the newer 110's..a single plug and then a dual plug

lets not get the cart before the horse here,,, the lifan 110 will not bolt in a 110 frame,, its a 70 based transmission and is different,, footpeg mounts are a little different too ,,, it can be done but it will not just bolt in,,,,

They wont just swap? I remember a thread here about a guy who put a lifan in a 110 a few weeks ago, Ill try to find it.
I used to have a cheap pitbike with a 107cc zongshen engine and it did bolt into the frame, the foot pegs didnt directly bolt up since the threads were farther apart, but all I did was put spacers in the top mount.
Im just kind of confused of why the lifans dont bolt in? Is it the mounts? pegs?

Do you know where they would need to be drilled? If the 110 is the same as the 138, the 138cc engine would be pretty cool. Its liquid cooled and manual clutch and only 299.00 for the complete engine.

Its not a direct bolt in, but it will work with some mods. The 138 is also based on the 70 and it oil cooled not liquid cooled. If you get on with a kick start the fender will have to modified to work, you can go with electric start just make sure you get one with a bottom mounted starter. The 138 does not come with electric start that I know of. The wiring harness on the 110 wil probably not work but most Lifans come with a harness to satart with but nothing is direct plug in.

Thanks for the info. I just checked and yes it is oil cooled with a tiny cooler. They have the option of no electric starter too. I would use the kick start version and trim the fenders. It does come with the harness too, I just didnt see it for some reason in the other pics on ebay of the UK version. Im still not sure if im going to do this yet, but I think it would be pretty neat with some snow hogs (snow blower tires) on the rear to slide around on.
