air cooled 300R head gasket

so is it true, i go buy a 85 model FL350 ODY head gasket and i can use it on my 300R head?

guy on ebay selling some for the 300R but wants 25$ plus shipping.
Service Honda says like 15$ for the FL350 gasket plus shipping.

just wanted to check into it. i may try to fire mine up.

Cometic gasket company also makes them specifically for the 300R kits, but yes, as far as I know the FL gasket works too.

get with gotballs250r he has the parts numbers for the cometic gaskets. let us know if they actually have them. if you order some. may get a few more extras. did you buy the r in b.r.:naughty:

on the 300R cylinder all my studs are gone. can i simply use studs from a regular cylinder?

oh, and i bought the FL350 head gasket. man it seems thick??

do you have an original 300 gasket for comparisn? I heard that the fl350 is thicker than the stock asket effectivly lowering your compresion just a bit, I just reanealed mine, so its good to go

its a packed gasket for the fl's? the stock gasket for the 300's is solid copper, dunno man, I dont like taking head gaskets apart thats for sure!

The FL350 has a 3 layer head gasket don't even mess around with that thing, just purchase one from that ebay link posted you will be glad you did.

got any :pics: of the r you got in b.r.? i know the guy said it had an extended swinger on it. that one pic he posted of it from that top angle it sure looked like a 300r kit on it.:naughty:
