94 CR250 kick start problems

Well like the title says the kickstart on my CR CRapped out on me. No warning or anything, just made a noise and started slipping. I know some of you are gonna suggest checking the splines. Done, splines are fine and the shaft is turning with the kick. Anyone else had this experience? Guesstimates on fixing the problem?

take it appart, you may have broken a spline or somthing. its not hard to fix, just take the case cover off and see what went wrong.
