i know its a little off topic but i figure there is allot of us guys that grew up when the simpsons and ninja turtles were the "best" things on earth. i watched it once and i liked it but it wasnt really like the old simpsons. i mean since when does homer care for anyone but himself and his gut ? also if i recall he didnt do his famous "mmmmmmmm beer" or even "mmmmmmmmmm dough nuts" im very disappointed they didnt do them. however he was his dumass self most of the time.
chime in with your thoughts of the movie.

Are you serious? :wondering
There are MANY episodes where Homer battles to make right what he set wrong to win back the heart of: most of the time Marg, then the kids, and sometimes Grandpa. Im a huge patron, been watching since it came out in the 80's.
I havent seen the movie yet, but cant wait. :w00t:

I know what you mean. The Simpsons have taken a different route comedy wise multiple times through the years. You have to expect it though, for a show to last that long things have got to change with the trends.
I should just shut my mouth until Ive seen the movie though.........
Be back in here soon.........

I thought it was great, way funnier than any episode that I ever watched. I've been watching the simposons since I was about 10 and I thought it was about the only story line they havent used . Great movie, barrels of laughs

I took my 8 year old son to watch and it was ok...it was good but pretty much stuck by the simpsons standards...lol. It wasn't as kid friendly as I thought it would be but it is pg-13 also.

The Simpsons had their start in 1987 as a short skit on the Tracy Ullman Show.

Well I knew they had their start in the late 80's on that show, but I had to search for the exact year :)

Once you brought that up, I remembered that show. I also remember their voices and manerisms were different.
