I dont remember if Hagen posted pics of the tank on a Tri-Z.But it fits soooooo nicely. It dropped right in.He welded pockets to fit over the stock rubber mount areas for the grommets.Installed threaded area to bolt threw wehere the airbox was mounted.Plus you still use the wingnut at the top near the handle bars.I am in love with this piece. This Z is going to be just a rider.I am rebuilding a yellow zinger for the daughter and the wife liked the idea of matching bikes. So who is to argue!! :D I am glad I got this tank.I was going to run a tri-zinger tank up there,But I found an NOS Black airbox cover.I didnt really want to cut that one to fit the zinger tank.So not only did Hagen do an incrediable job.He saved an airbox cover from getting butched!!! :naughty: :naughty: You can never go wrong with Hagens work. Thanks for all the help, you big german you!! :beer :beer Enjoy everyone.

Hagen first offered it up here on 3WW.I never made an offer. Then I saw it on ebay.So I placed a bid and won it.I also got a set of the footpegs as well. This tri-z isnt going to be crazy.I am just going to strip it down.Replace any worn out parts.Get a few parts powder coated. Then put it back together. But Ill add a few of the goodies members offer. You just have too!!!! Here is the ebay # 260136810996
I hope he decides to make more.I am sure a lot of work went into this one.I would love to get another one for the 86 Z I am redoing.Guess I'll have to bribe him. :beer :beer

Boy I would love to have a set of those pegs. There isn't really any other options out there other than stock. And they suck. :(

Well,, it's not going fast enough that's for sure. I'm dyin to go riding (brapp was nice enough to loan me and my son rides for the weekend) so at least I got a little bit of time in this summer. What sucks the most is I worked so dang hard to have that Z built by the end of may.. only to have it sit in pieces all summer.

Contact Greenboy. He will fill you in on all the pricing.I bought them from him.Where were all you guys when he was selling these parts here on 3WW?
As for the LRD.They dont make it anymore.I know Billy has one unchromed and I think another member has a chromed one as well.Took me a while to find this one brand new.But I was lucky enough to find a member close to me who never installed it before he sold his Tri-Z.
Dig on that pipe man:naughty: .I am so very jealous:) .
The bike is gonna look sweet.
Hagen does awesome work, unfourtnately,I never have enough coin to buy his stuff when I see it.I did almost bid on that tank.I wish I would have.

Yes it is a little pricey. But when thats all that is avaliable you gotta pay.I dont mind.I usually have $$ sitting in paypal from ebay sales. So it has worked out great. When I sold off the other yellow Tri-Z,It had the LRD and westcoast swinger on it.I told the buy add $1000 more to the price if he wanted them.Thank god he didnt want to spend the extra $$ Otherwise I too would be without again.
On a personal note.I just hate the fuel set up that yamaha had for the tri-z.I rebuild a few and could never get them to work correctly. So I was fortunite to buy a lot of parts from an old racer a few years ago.He had the Zinger tank set.It even had an aftermarket airbox to except the zinger tank. But like an dummy I sold it off years ago. The zinger tank works great, but hagens tank looks awesome and will work perfectly too. Later
