How about this? I know a suspension 70 is cheating and one of these days I need to post new pics of it. Try glamisdunes.com. They have a very large following for the atc70 and they showed lots of restored, tricked out and suspension 70s. Lots of good info there too.

Heh, they look like little toys :P, so small lol. Those have good power?

Vealmonkey
02-04-2008, 11:26 PM
depends on the power plant. Stock 70s aren't too bad. They make 88cc and 110cc big bore kits. Now you have lifan engines from 50, 70, 90, 110, 125, 138, 14? ccs'. And then you have the laydown 200x and 250r engines. My dream is the laydown 200x engine. Stock to custom, and aftermarket to homemade. They are alot of fun and I have a couple of buddies that will get together and race when it gets a little warmer. Great for tailgating at the games too. Not just for kids anymore.

did you have to modify the frame any? I'm about to do the same thing but thought i red the frame needed stretching.

"lil 70- What brand is that motor? How do you like it being oil cooled? What did that 138 motor cost you?"

it is the lifan 138cc oil cooled. i bought it for $300 otd with all electrical, carb and cables.

"did you have to modify the frame any? I'm about to do the same thing but thought i red the frame needed stretching."

almost fit right in. i had do grind off about an 1/8" of the frame where the top motor mount is. it was just a hair off from fitting right in. you don't have to stretch the fram. the plastic fender just rubs the heat bolt on each side when turning but not enough to have to do anything to it.

So does it have a clutch or is it a semi auto? 3 spd?

conig
02-06-2008, 10:26 AM
beleive its clutch ive been watching those motors.

if anybody knows were i can get a new motor such as that in auto clutch let me know im building this for my daughter. figured i could use the limiting screw to keep it tame. but 2 year old and clutch may be kind of hard.

lil70
02-06-2008, 11:52 AM
it is a 4 speed manual clutch

Here's my pride and joy back from the local ATV dealer having undergone a service. Every single part on this European spec Trike came straight out of the factory apart from the new fuel line, spark plug and air filter and the only thing missing is the throttle adjust screw

I just took mine out this weekend to el mirage, a dry lake bed, and strapped the gps to the bars. I got her up to a nice 44mph with the lifan 138 and all stock sprokets. You should have seen the guys face in the rhino as i slowly crept up next to him LOL

heres my two. first one I just bought saturday, Guy had it advertised on craigslist for a 100 bucks. I called and just missed it. I posted a want ad for parts and this guy calls and tell me he has this complete trike for 200 bucks I ask him is it the one that was on craigslist the night before? Of course it was. He figured if he could double his money, he'd sell. I just figured what the heck and bought it anyway, I smokes, and didnt have any spark. I did get it running once, Im going to order a tune up kit later this week.
Also on the way home from buying it. I stop at the store for a soda. I come out and this guy is checking out the 70 and asks me if im into trikes. I told him its all I play with. Anyway he tells me he's got a 110 atc if I want it I could have it! So I get it, toss a old pair of tires on it. Clean the carb and away it goes! Its even got a chrome exhaust too!
The 2nd 70, you see the way it came home. that was a hundred bucks. 3 new tires, cables, carb kit, and it still smokes. So its getting rings soon too. Jim
