Did the tripples look like these? If they did, then its a Tiger with a air cooled engine. Try and get some pics of it. Also check and see if the shock is center mounted or offset to the left side. The shock on the Tigers was either blue or grey.

another thing, its a air cooled two stroke, and the kicker kicks back like a dirtbike, he told me the plastic was gone so he just modded a old ATC 90 rear fender and seat. the front brakes were definetely drums. He told me the magnets in the stator keeps falling off. they glue it and get a few days ride out of it, and have to redo it. its got a huge expansion chamber going to the left side. definetly says bombardier on the left side. also says the wheels on back are 8 inch, with 3 bolt holes. motor looks like the 500 tiger but doesnt say rotax. I got a price for it. $400. I can get 100 bucks off if I trade in my 250R roller. jim

Heres the 3 types of Bombardier/Can-Am/Rotax free air engines. The 500, 370/400, 250. All of the 350,370, 400 engines were painted orange from the factory.

The trike had a motor that looked like the first two. the kick start was on the left. could there have been a company in canada that made trikes in small numbers? JIm

If it is a twin shock, it is more than likely a dirtbike converted to a trike. All the Rotax have kickers on the left. Also Tiger did turn out a few with aircooled 175cc. But sure sounds like a homemade rig.

It could be one of those tricky dicks conversions. They often used both the rear shocks normally found on the streetbike or dirtbike that they were converted over from.
