Hey guys! Some of ya' may remember my previous post about me getting my new 250es Big Red. I purchased w/ a bad differential, and got it going tonight! Lomax from the boards was a great help, hooked me up w/ cheap parts. Definitely a good guy.
Anyway- I'm going to take it out to the trails tomorrow to give her a test run. Now that I have 2 working trikes (so the addiction begins...), I need to transport them in the bed of my Ford pickup. The only way I can easily fit them both is to stand them up on their grab bars / rear racks.
Some guy at work said that it'd give me problems later, such as float in the carbs sticking? Didn't sound very concrete, so I figured I'd ask you guys. Is it okay?
make sure the intake valves are closed,, or you will fill the airbox up with oil..

as long as you shut the gas off, the carb should be OK, still might spill out some when you first tip it up though.

You cant get both in your truck? I have a newer chevy full size with a short bed and can get both my r's in there by putting one in rear end first to the head board and then the other in front first.

If oil is coming through the intake valves into the airbox, you probably shouldn't be taking it to the woods...;')

I don't know about the standing up part, but I can fit 2 bigreds in the back of my full size truck. Put the first one in backwards and the second one in frontwards, and still have room for a cooler.

i can easily fit my 200s and 400ex in my fullsize with the tailgate down. put the trike in the front sideways and drive the quad right up to it, and put a rachet strap across the back of the quad to keep it pulled forward.
hmm, just re-red that, i ment if the trike gets fliped on its lid...

Yep, and close the exhaust valve or you'll fill the piston up with compressed air....

I figured out when I started loading them up that I can fit them both right side down. Thanks for the input though, guys. :-P
