When I built the old girlI was asked by alot of people what I was gonna use it for ,as far as riding,I always told everyone that I wanted to drag it and use it on the trails, and I never really knew until actually trying it. Last weekend up north in Michigan I brought up a '85 350X that I just put together and the '87 600X to do my trail riding with.I was a little leary on how the 600 would do on the trails for the most part but I gotta say that after a few minute's I found myself in heaven with her.I built the machine primarily for drag racing but I also know that motor is very much user friendly,so I took it on the trails . With that ,it sat about 2 inch's lower on the rear than my 350,and made the tite corners simply a blast.I had 20x11x9 holeshot's on the rear and I think that was an excellent choice.Even with having the mildly stretched swinger turning was not an issue at all,it was basically an issue of pointing the front and gassing it,and I pretty much only stayed in 2nd gear on the tite stuff. After riding the trails I can honestly say that the 600X is gonna be my main ride from now on when it come's to drag's and trails.I would say that the test riding this weekend was a deffinate sucess and a blast at that.Im gonna have to do alot of research to top this one for myself.I hope that answer's some of your questions..

I saw you at TF this year. At first I couldn't figure the machine out. Looks like a 350x, sounds like a thumper, but runs like a quick 2-stroke, at least at the drags where I saw you. Really nice machine. Chris

Yeah it's the twin carb'd motor.Like I was saying it sit a bit lower than I would like for the trails, and if I were to do another primarily for the trails I would have lifted the cradle up another 2 inches or so,but the way it sit's now with the low center of gravity it just flys threw the tite stuff.Yeah Chris when I had it at TF,I could'nt get the hang of it so my bro. did most of the dragging with it.
