200x is pretty slow, but I wouldn't put a 9 year old on it unless the kid is a pro racer. I was 10 or 11 when I got my first trike (ATC110) and I crashed that thing a few times, it just went too fast for it's own good. The 200X has suspension at least, the 110 didn't have shite and when you go to hit a jump on it, you have a good chance of being thrown off on the landing when it bounces LOL.

A 9 year old has no business on a 200x. He might be able to use the clutch and ride it but no way he has the strength, height and body weight required to operate it safely. That's probably the number one cause of severe injury and/or death among children on ATVs (rider too small for the machine they were on).

Yeah, that's what I was getting at. I'd put the kid on a 70 or something.

set his butt on a 110. easy to ride, not a ton of power, bullet proof. once he masters that move up. He is probably a little to big for a 70
