350x Voltage Reg

What is the max watts that a voltage reg will put out? I would like to fab something different for my head lights on my 86 350x but I dont have the voltage reg so I want to make sure it will be strong enough. I'm thinking 55 Watt bulb would be the max without changing the stator.

Is that correct?
