i finally blew out my tri z shock, i went to the dealer and he's telling me its not worht it to try and rebuild, he says try and find one that will fit. i dont know what will fit and what will be comparable. blaster shocks are a dime a dozen on ebay, will they fit? or maybe a banshee shock?

Blaster shock is not a match, but I guess theyve been force fitted before, though I dont advise it. The stock Banshee shocks that have the resevoir attached to the shock body, Ive heard can be modified to work, but if you make a mistke, could result in a puntured gas tank. Warrior shocks will bolt right on, and you just need to rig up a place to hang the resevoir. The shock body is the same, but the resevoir is mounted differently. The Warrior spring is a little stiffer than the Z stock one, which is sprung pretty light, and if you weight more than 170-180 youll probably like it better than stock. They normally go for $125-150 used.

Why would you not want to get your shock rebuilt? I had my Z shock done for $150 including shipping. The Z shock has more features also.

This is the site to the shop that rebuilt my shock: http://hometown.aol.com/pms713/myhomepage/business.html They did a good job with it but it took them awhile to get it done, like 4 weeks. If you go with them a need it back by a certain date defiantly let them know before hand.
