You can get pretty nice RAZR/HOLESHOT knockoffs from tiresunlimited.com that are made by Nankang for $34.01 a piece. I have them for my 07 Dvx400 and they are GREAT!

Turf tamers are extremely good for the price, for genteral riding you want 20's.
To make it faster you have just begun. big valves, High compression pisotn, bigger carb, airbox eliminator, exhaust, lighten flywheel, stroker crank, Portting. When it comes to modifing an engine the l ist is endless.

so you did get the 35, you will like it alot, well I do at least, try out the stock 12 then the 13 and see what one you like better, id go with some 20's, I run 20s and 18 inch turf tamers, they are really fun on my friends track and kicking it sideways, but on rough trails you will bottom out, so a full skid plate is a good thing to have

Glad you took some good advice on choosing parts for that thing, sounds like you're well on your way to a fast 200x. Run 20s on it. Put an 86/87 200x front fender on it, get some maier super scoops for the tank, cut back the rear fenders by where the back of your legs are. This will make it look alot racier and you muddier and more prone to running over your foot. But hey! it'll look way cooler.

hahahahaha, yup thats how i broke my leg....foot slipped off the peg when i landed an jump, and crackola, snapped my leg just below the knee. but it does make the x look racier. you can also use a 85-86 250r front fenders as well. engine mods are only limited by your imagination and wallet. you can do anything you want really....cams, valves, springs, carb, xr200 intake is bigger then stock 200x, port and polish the head, high compression piston, a nice bigger exhaust...wether you buy new dg/rcm, or find yourself a supertrapp or some other older type exhaust...the possibilities are endless. all depends on how big you wanna go and how big your wallet will allow you to go...wrench on!!!!

what is a air box eliminator? how do you lighten the flywheel?

Airbox elimanator is basically takin your box and chuckin it and runnin something like a pod fliter (I call it a straight shooter). Stock airboxes have a lot of twists and turns which create turbulence for the incoming air charge. By getting rid of the box you have a faster airflow. You lighten the flywheel by takin off uneeded weight. The benefit is higher revs because of less rotational mass.

the stock airbox without a lid is going to deliver the same performance as having a filter on the back of the carb.

if there is any difference, it is so minimal that your jetting doesn't even have to change.

....listen to me talking like i know something :)

Youre prob about right with the 200x. I know on my one z I ditched the airbox and gained at least 3 ponies. The stock airbox on those are so restrictive though. I think I am going to do that with the R also, the airbox has to make 180 degree turn to reach the carb.
