How do you get the locknut out of the finaldrive unit (is it threaded?)?

Yep it's threaded. It takes a special socket to remove it correctly. Honda didn't make the drive unit to be very easy to fix. lol
You could just buy a complete new unit. They are only $985.26 ( New ) from Partsfish.com lol

I also have a question...On my old SX that my friend has, the CV boot cover has practically rotted off. So, I was wondering if the Cycle Center here would have new 2-piece boots to replace them with?? He said that he would rather not try taking the rear-end off for a 1-piece unit

John looks like the locknut dont want to come out and the outter bearing race is stuck too + im kinda rushed to have it done by TrikeFest. I'll take the whole final drive unit, hit me with a price an address and how much Genny you want me to bring to TF. If you want I'll even give ya the core... lol ;)
Thanks Matt
