Hello all!!
I am new to 3ww, I stuck around everything2stroke.com for a while, figured I'd start over here too. I am a trike lover, I have 6 atvs, 5 are trikes. I still got my parents old atcs that are basically mine, so thats more like 10. i started riding at the age of 2 on a lt50 trike, got some funny pictures actually. Now I have a banshee I've dumped allot of money into, but I like the trikes more.
Well last year I bought a very sweet 350x. I got it and a complete parts bike. The complete parts bike turned out to be a very complete trike. All I have to do is replace and lap the valves, and put it together. The head is off, It has been freshly rebuilt, new high compression piston so far. What else can I do to this motor to increase power while I got it out and apart? I know web cam makes some nice cams, my other 350x has one in it. I didn't do it though..... So any advice would be nice.
When I still went to high school, a friend of mine said his dad had a busted 250r, long story short it turned out to be a 1986 tri-z with a bent shift fork. I have been working on it for a while now. I bought a 86 tranny off ebay, and the seller was a tard cause it turned out to be an 85..... Sux it has the 5-speed now. I now am stuck with the rear end. The dude mud-bogged with it, then let it set. The rear carrier bearings are shot bad. So i took off the axle and carrier and took it to the machine shop I worked at. I put it on the press, put heat to it, and I maxed the press out at 3tons. It crushed the 3/4 inch chunk of brass I had over the end of the axle and mushroomed the bold and nut. It did not budge!! So now I have a scrap axle and can't get the carrier off. Ive tried all I could. Its been soaking in penetrating fluid for like the last month, still won't budge. So I don't know wtf to do. Im thinking of welding a banshee swing arm onto the tri-z's, and running a banshee carrier set-up. Any one have advice?, I'm at my wits end with my tri-z, but I love it, I rode it for a while with the messed up carrier, and I defiantly want a nice tri-z in my garage. Wheelies where insane on that bike, its like the chopper of the atc world.
Thanks for any advice, and I think I'm gonna really enjoy 3ww. Trikefest is in my plans. Its kinda close, and sounds fun as hell!!

:welcome: to the boards!

Man, that 350X is sweet!

Theres a ton of stuff you can do to the X, you can take it as far as your wallets willing to travel. Do some seariching on the boards, you will run into more then enough info before you know it. ( I dont have much advice, mines stock, and I like it that way)

With the Tri-z, I hope the guy on ebay gave some of your money back, the 86 transmissions sell for a LOT more then the 85's.

With that rearend, you can go with a banshee setup. I do believe it bolts right in. Thing is you have to use a banshee carrier, axle, and other numerous parts. Theres a guy in the classifieds parting out a Z right now, if I were in your shoes, I would jump on his rear setup. That will help to keep things simple. I absolutely love my Tri-z, good luck with yours!

If the banshee rear-end bolts right in that would be sweet. Ive been looking at the rear ends, but I couldn't get my calipers in there and measure it, but hell I'l go out and see If the banshee's bolts on. I'm tearing it down atm too to stoke it and powdercoats, so i'l just see if it will slap in!

Lol I wrecked that bike alot. My favorite wreck was when I tried driving up my play house slide. My dad made it a wide slide with some slick ass metal. I got halfway and slipped back down, when tires hit the dirt so did I.

ahhh, 78 nice man, so what size tires are you runnin on her now and how much lift? I just got a set of 36.5's for my 87 blazer on 3 inch lift and a lot of fender cutting, haha. Freakin awesome on the icecream truck music box, I got an old car oaaga horn thats a blast, I can only imagine how much fun I would have soundin like an icecream truck:lol:

Well the truck has 6" suspension and 3" body lift. I'm rollin on 38" x 12.5"s. I also scored an awooga horn off an old family friend. I have that on my little Toyota pick-up. I keep that truck for the great gas mileage, saves me a ton! The ice cream boxes are like $40 shipped off of ebay. Its very loud, and also has like 10 animal sounds, 10 sirens, and a pa with a mic. If you want to have fun pick one of those up. You get some hilarious reactions. Thought about picking one up for my trike, wonder if it could power it?
