I have just picked up a 1983 Honda ATC 70. I got it free. Took some time to get it running but it runs great now. I have a question for you though.
How do I get to the back brakes. I have taken off all of the covers and do not know how to take the brake drum off so I can get to the pads.

This machine has sat for the last 6 years and i know they are rusted and they do not work.

If any one could show me a picture of what to do or tell me how to take them off it would be a great help.

By the way I am new to this site and it is GREAT.

Thanks for the help
Brian

you take all the covers off, and the drum should slide off the splines, it the brake is not on. sometimes it needs a little coaxing since it could be a lttle rusted.

I think with the 70 you have to take the wheel hub off on the side the brake drum is, then slide a tube off the axle and the brake drum should pull off.
Hope this helps
