I've just bought a tri-z that was in boxes, i've rebuilt it and had it running (smoked really bad), the problem i have is that when i got it the carb was in bits, I found a detailed diagram of how it should be put together, i've put it together how the pictures showed me, but it doesn't tell me how to set up the carb, does anyone have any info on how to set the carb up, back to standard, ( how far in should the pilot screw be etc) thanks for your help,

You can download a better manual from here:

It will tell you exactly what you need to know.

Most likely. Every bike is different. Chances are you dont have the same reeds, porting, exhaust, air filter, and fuel mixture as the other bike, and ALL these factors play a role in tuning your carb.
If you list up your mods, someone on here should be able to help you with the jets you should start with.....
Good luck!
