I just finished my engine rebuild on my 110 and if it isnt one thing it is another!

Before i did the engine i replaced the carrier bearings and the drum brake shoes. Everything seems to work fine when you are moving forward but if you push the trike backwards and turn the bars to where you would if you were riding it to turn left the rear end starts dragging really bad, Turn to the right while pushing it backwards it is fine. I took the drum cover and drum back off tonight for some investigating and found that the drum is rubbing on the back half on the plate that the brake shoes are mounted too, See below...

You can sort of see the drag marks on the backing plate in that picture.

Anybody got any idea's? :( :wondering

no ideas but what kinda Nitro RC you got that you need the traxxas fuel for?

3.3 Tmaxx
Im having trouble with getting it started though, It always floods. The fuel pictured is 10% and i went and bought a thing of 20% today and a carb rebuild kit so hopefully that helps.

With just having the weekends to do anything because of my work schedule i really need to get the 110 finished so i can start on my 540 and play with the tmaxx more!

Im stumped with the brake issue...

we added the reverse kit to the sport maxx and ended up taking it back out.. it is so much better with forward only :)

this one does the opposite - it does not flood, it runs lean unless you richen it until it wont run worth a crap. as soon as you get back into the power range it fouls a plug.

never thought about rebuilding that itty bitty carb

any ideas with the 110 Rally?

Yeah mine has the reverse on it, I barely ever use it though. I figure i will leave it alone until i start to have problems with it.

Yeah you might rebuild that carb, Probably have a oring that is leaking air in. The rebuild kit was like $4 at the local hobby store.
