are these any good for the 200x?

i need new bearings so i figured this would be a good upgrade.

The '83-'85 does not use a bearing carrier like that, the bearings just go into the swinger. The '86-'87 200x uses a carrier because the carrier twists to adjust the chain instead of moving the whole swinger like the earlier X. So I would not suggest getting that unless you want a $240 paper weight.

Why not? Ive had a rad carrier since I got my 200x, replaced the tapered bearings and everythings good. I replaced them last winter and they have been good ever since. While my friends 84 200x has went through too many bearings to count.

Will NOT work on the 83-85 200X.

ok i phucked up and didnt look at mine first. now i know it wont work. one thing tho. y doesnt my 85 200x swinger have a grease nipple? are u suppost to wipe bearing grease in it when its tore apart. oh ya 1 more thing. im such a dumb ass. i thought my carrier bearings went out. come to find out that my whole damn swing arm was loose:crazy:

I ordered a carrier, I was looking at one, but didn't want to pay the $300 rad wanted for one. I just hope it clears good with the 83/84 250r axle I'm using. I might have to do some mods so it clears, maybe shorter bolts that hold the sprocket it. Maybe a 83/84 250r carrier fits the 200x also, when I get the rad carrier, I'll compare it against my 83/84 250r carrier.

What year of 200x do the older 250r axles fit? And what year 200x are you talking about that the 250r carrier fits into?

I have a 86 200x, 83/84 250r axles are direct fits and the 83/84 250r carrier looks like a almsot exact fit also. I will tell you when I get the carrier and measure it. I have been using an 83/84 250r axle for about 2 years now, using the stock axle and 86 200x hubs its 48-49" wide, same width as the +4 86/87 200x axle I have.
