quickest and easiest way to remove carb- 1985 atc200x

alright well im running uber-rich (big sudco carb, was on there when i bought it) and so i need to pull it off to move the needle clip and change the main jet.

so of course i can get the carb off, im not an idiot. but im sure someone here has done it enough to know the quickest and easiest way to pull it off. you know some little trick thatll save you 20minutes of screaming profanities. and im hoping that person will share that knowledge. thanks in advance.

Sorry bud, the 85 200X has one of the easiest carbs to get off. Takes 5 minutes with the fender and tank.... All I do different maybe is I take the boot off at the airbox with the huge clamp and sometimes take the intake off at the cylinder head instead of where it mounts to the carb because those nuts are sometimes rounded.

Yeah, dirtcrasher is right. Hell, in 20 minutes you can have a 200x carb off and back on 2 or 3 times. No tricks involved.

It takes you guys 5 min? I just have to take off the seat, unscrew one screw to release the filter, pop that off, pop the fuel line off, then just unscrew the throttle cable off the carb, and finally loosen up the boot off the intake. Less than 3 minutes.
