Well we have had a couple dustings up in the mountains above my house but this was the first real good snow fall so my son and I had to go give it a look. As you can see it was a little muddy near the bottom but hey nothing the 250sx cant handle:w00t:
Was actually pretty deep up near the top, I would say a foot to a foot and a half and chopped up enough by the guys in trucks that my boy and just turned around about 2 miles shy of the summit.

Snow! We don't even have it up here in Alaska yet, probably because we don't have enough mountains. I'd love to bomb around in some snow on my YZ, shoot some monster roost!

Cool 250SX!

Yeh thats the neighborhood I live in. Its kinda nice being able to jump on the bike and have over a hundred miles of moutain dirt roads to ride on:cool: .

As for the tires, they are Maxxis Sur Traks and they did awesome in the snow. I had to choose between them and the Mudlites and so far Im happy with my decision.

I cannot wait for snow here in NY. Hell if Oswego gets nailed with 130 inches in 7 days again. I vow to have SX on the ROOF of a house!

I had Mudlites on my 225 DXN and they were great in the snow.

Actually, its up Farmington canyon about 2 miles shy of Francis Peak. We were trying to make it up to the towers but it just got to messy.

As for the front rack, thats a home made job lol, made out of solid 1/2 x1/2 steel and about 25lbs lol. Helps keep the front end down thats for sure.

Yup, the mud was at about 4700 ft above sea level and the snow started about 6000 ft with the peak we were trying to get to being 9547 ft above sea level.

Good day of riding:p

I've wanted to ride that far from Bountiful, just haven't had the time.
From what I've heard from the B Skyline dr. takes you all the way into Farmington Canyon. Would be a nice long ride.

Yeh it does take you right into Farmington Canyon, ive done it in my truck just havnt made the time on the bike yet. It is a full day of riding if you stop for the views at all. If you just haul ass you can make it from one side to the other in 2-3 hours. There are tons of roads up there also take some extra gas a GPS and a lunch with you it would make a real nice ride.
