Here is my original US90 with my son Lachlan last summer. I saved this trike from a salvage yard in the U.S 11 years ago and this was its first ride since then.

Cool !! Early Air Foolers. I didn't know they made rims that small. Someone should put an engine from say a 1987 ATC250r in one of those. I bet it would go fast. I think I saw an 87 the other day in a barn. The guy said he bought it in 87. I would have taken some pics but I broke my digital camers tripping over all the brand new never been ridden Honda ATC's and NOS parts he had. I'm gong back though to look at all the serial numbers and make sure they all have the correct tires and decals.

Teeks - just a few things here -

#1 - Air Foolers generally applies to a play on words referring to the Air Cooled 250Rs -

#2 - the Rims and tires are all one piece - and I must say pretty rare since they have not been made for many many years.

#3 - While I'm sure putting a larger engine in one of these would be fun, you are missing the point of these Oldies! they are a Classics - you wanna keep them stock - not to mention - no one has ever seen a 1987 ATC250R. When you get your pictures of all the 87 stuff you found in a barn - Xowner

They made an air cooled 250r ? Wow ! And those one piece rims/tires, they are all steel ? Must make for a tough ride. Man, I can't be the only guy to ever see an 87 250r. From your post you seem like an expert on these. Too bad I couldn't take you along so you could see it in person. If no one has seen any. How come people post new threads every once in a while saying they think they saw one? I think I even saw a pic or 2. Are you sure you know what your talking about ?

your both wrong they have a small4 inch rim vulcanised into the rubber of the tire and i do belive tim knows quite a bit abotu atc's . i have owned a few 87 atc;s and quite possibly the only 87 atc350x part in the us. and there was one part of an 87 atc250r found in the us and that wa sa seat. so i question do you know what your talkign about? i know ther eis an 87 trx 250r but as far as 87 atc250r i seen pictures of one back in 1990 that got wrecked. i may not know everythgin abotu trikes but i do belive i am right on this one.

o well close enough... we had one before but we bought it to make money. the motor was shot pretty much so we picked it up for 300 bucks, it was pretty much mint except for the motor being worn out. we sold it for 1300 bucks and we didnt even do anything to it!
