Anyone every ride up at Tevorton PA old coal stripe mines outside of Shamokin? I was up this weekend to try it out and it was pretty nice. Lots of trails through the woods and coal piles. Not near as rocky as Rausch and its free.

I ride there quite a bit myself. I don't care much for trail riding anymore and prefer to ride the piles. TRAILS JUST ARE NOT AS FUN ON MY dvx400 as they were on my 200E BIG RED WITH over inflated tires.

If I was 100% sure I wouldnt get tresspassing charges I'd like to check it out myself. I've heard they were arresting folks.. It can't be any more rockier than up here in Hazleton.
Blue.. you should join us sometime when we have a group ride up this way. I've got some family about 10 miles from the lancaster mall down your way.. are you close to that? Only takes me about 2 hours to get there so a trip up here would be well worth your time IMO. :welcome:

Sorry I haven't posted pictures. The kids homework is killing me this week.
Do you want to ride Saturday? It would be me, maybe my daughter or stepson. My daughter is not a slow rider, my stepson a little slower, but not as slow as last time.
Let me know, dude. -mike 610-703-9977

Chris I am about 15min from the mall so 2hr drive is not a big deal. I would drive up some time. I am trying to get more riding in then I used to. Like to find some areas and people to ride with, also looking for a Family ride soon so I can get my daughter out for some more experience on her LT80 and not pay $60 per person to ride for the day. That why we went to try out Trevorton, want to make sure its not to crazy for the kid.
I would like to try Hazelton sometime.

The hill has definitely changed since then! I still don't have the balls to go up that yet. Mostly because I really really doubt I would make it.

Well that to chris. I really don't want to watch $8,000 roll down a hill busting up into pieces and still have to pay for it. or be in the hospital(they use a scrubber to clean the coal out like the one you use to clean the crust off you outdoor grill(the out door cooking appliance for the blondes out there.)
