i was thinking of taking one of my 200 and going lower tire for street/hard dirt or do you guys tink this will make an already bouncie ride worst? i know they have hardtail motorcycles and i was thinking the lower profile tires would stabilize it better just an idea what do ya think?

I think it would be cool. Street would be no problem. I am falling in love with these hard tails. I love there simplicity. No suspension doesn't bother me. My 200x's always bottomed out. I am 6' 2" and weigh 250 though. Go for it!!

If you're just riding hard surfaces, it'll be fine. You'll be able to corner slightly better.

Don't forget that smaller tires will require re-gearing, or you'll be going slower on the top end.

I went from ballon tires, to smaller, flat profile wooly boogers and I'll never go back. It corners so much better, slides better. I got 3rd with it at TF motorcross, I probably couldnt have done that with ballon tires.

Heres a couple. Not the greatest pics but should give you an idea. If you plan on riding through alot of mud and snow you'll be at a loss with these style tires, loss of clearence, but for the street and flat riding this setup does well. Excuse the no-helmet photo.....

Shoot, I'm sporting an "almost-mullet" right now anyway. If I could grow a beard, I'd probably have one too! I have a mustache already.

Now I just need an old Honda trike...

Heres my bike with some 18's.

I felt a lot cooler on it, could get the asz end around a lot easier.

It made the ride a little stiffer, there wasnt as much sidewall to depend on.

It DID stabilize it though.........

I didnt change gearing, just threw those on to have some fun.

There was a speed change, not enough to kill my fun though. Torque wise, the bike has always gone where I tell it to, but Im sure I was able to "git it" a little harder with those on. From what I remember, the bike did have a little more kick.

I found the same thing on my 200s. I had duro hf 247 flat track tires and the thig slid wicked and i loved it. It got all my buddies 200m's off the start and felt alot pepier. I dealt with the gearing issue and speed issue by putting my xl 185 motor in it.:naughty: I really regret selling it:(

Exactly what you would think, SQUAT!!!!

They came on a parts bike, looked like fun to sweerve them for a bit. They did alright in the light mud.

Stay away from the deep stuff with tires like those.
