2008 Hondas

I got my Dec. 2007 Dirt Wheels yesterday. Looks like Honda is finally coming out with a big sport quad. 700XX. It will be interesting to see how it stacks up against the others. Probably pretty well being it's a Honda.

Honda redesigned the plastic on the 2008 400EX. I liked the change in 2005, but I think they really "screwed the pooch" on this one. It really looks cheap. Looks a lot like one of the Chinese off brands. There is only one pic of it so it might look better in person. I looks kinda cheap around the headlamp area. Looks like the headlamp is just hanging there. They changed the color schemes as well. (red/black and white) Has anyone else seen these yet? If you don't have the new issue of DW, you can Google them and find images....

Those fenders are definitely ugly. I really don't know what they were thinking.
I still like the fenders they used on the mid to late '80s TRX250, probably one of the best looking quads every built IMO.

I agree, the old school TRX250R is one of my favorite designs for plastics and overall ergonomics. It just looks so nice.

Yeah, the 88 and 89 250R were a nice set up. That picture Edog posted in the 700XX. The 2008 400EX is where they really screwed up. They are similar, but there is just something about the 400EX that really looks cheap...
