I really thought you would have been one of the last members on here that owned tigers that would get rid of them.

nobody on the board bought them.its a friend who i outbid in the first place when i bought all these years ago.$10,000 for the 3 tigers is what i asked and received.i know i could have got more bought i would rather them go to a good home than make a few extra bucks.

Man those are beautiful machines! I've been kinda wondering what I would do if someone offered a good price on my Selvy's 200R. It kinda makes me sad to think of not owning it. I'm glad you sold them to someone who appreciates them though. So what are you going to replace that empty space in your garage with now?

Wow, 10K does seem to be a bargain. I'd thing 15 to 20K would be a bit more enticing. We all have different situations, ya gotta do what ya gotta do....

When I saw this post I figured you sold them to the guy in Thompson, but you said you sold all 3, I thinkhe recently picked up just 2 and they seem to be either 200's or 250's. I wouldnt doubt you'll see it at the swamp meet this weekend.... Anyway, must be sad to see em go... But now you hafta change you name to 8kxt250B's :)

well hopefully i find something at thompson this weekend,i have a big pile of money burning a hole in my pocket.ive already filled the space in my garage with a quadracer 500 i had sitting outdoors rusting away.believe me,every inch counts in my garage.i had 3 leave and i still dont have any room.the tiger 80 and cagiva are buried in the back of the garage so getting pictures wont be very soon.if you do a search on here you will see them, the pictures on here are of mine before i bought them.they havent been touched yet.i spend more time and money buying more and more than i do restoring them.

Mike at vintage is doing a full restore on the cagiva motor. Once I get that back it will be a winter project.....it to has taken a back seat to the tigers just like the 86 tri Z that I have been collecting parts for several years and the 87 tecate and 85 red tecate.....I have enough to keep me busy for some time. The good news as the time rolls by the stock pile of NOS for each of those above (except the cagiva) keeps getting bigger and bigger ......they willl be real nice when done ;)

yes, thats the cagiva.i ahvent touched it since that picture was taken.the wheel spacers are on backwards because when i bought the tigers years ago they were set up for oval track racing and the 125 and quad each had one wheel spacer on the right rear wheel for cornering.i switched them around for room in may garage.thats all.

Thats a sweet Cagiva man, Ive been looking for one of those for the longest time. even just the cagiva dirtbike in itself is near impossible to find. Did you happen to buy one off a guy in or around Putnam Ct? A friend of mines father lived in Ct and raced one for a while. His name is Lenny Stanley, dont know it it rings a bell with you or not, hes got a few of his races on Vhs with his cagiva.

I really appreciate you guys sharing your pics and info. Not too much is known (well by me at least) about these old school racers.

Looking at the pic of the cagiva.. it looks to me like they used the dirtbike and just added a swinger and front end. Are they tecate rear plastics and a 250R front fender... :wondering

Can someone post up some info on these badboys... sorry to see you sell those tigers. Definitly some fine examples of days gone by... :TrikesOwn

my buddy also has a cagiva,it could have possibly came from putnam.i know he got it nearbye.the rear is an 84-85 tecate low profile and the fron is a 250r.i have all new plastic for this along with a few other NOS cagiva parts.it was a dirtbike converted by tricky dick's.i actually have another that is all in pieces.i could build the both of them and have 2 complete cagiva's.
