Ride Thanksgiving weekend

Seeing as I have a bunch of days off, I'm looking to ride somewhere the Saturday after Thanksgiving. I was all set to check out ATV NY/Lembo Lake, but was reading an old thread that pretty much said it sucks--there aren't many trails, it's super rocky, etc. Is this true?

If so, any recommendations on places, say, no further than a couple of hours from the New York City area?
