I am starting a nos tri zinger project, something small and realtivly inexpensive over the winter. Where can i find info on the different colours available and years etc? Any help on getting the project going, advice etc is greatly appreciated, thanks.

The only 3 "american" colors I know of are blue, yellow and red. The front fenders are pretty non existent. The only new front fender I've ever heard of was a fiberglass repo and I've never seen one for sale. There was another color but that was canadian or european and there are pictures of it somewhere on this site. There are only a few bolt on upgrades for the trizinger and you can find them by using the search button above on this site. Carb or reed changes can be done by hand fabrication if you have the know how. The exhaust is the major bolt on change and it is the DG nationals pipe. You have boysen reeds, stiffer springs for the centrifugal clutch and the larger of the 2 exhaust gaskets as your bolt on options. You can have fun with the build, but by far the bigger of the options to do a custom restore would be with an atc70 and a lifan engine. You could also rebuild the stock 70 engine with an 88cc big bore kit and a cam. But with the lifan, everything is new and you can have electric start and manual shift with a clutch and up to 150cc currently available. Maier makes replacement fenders and you have options in the wheel and tire department. If the yamaha is a must, then have fun, but your options are limited. If you want to be more creative, then try to redo an atc70, much more in parts and options available. Either way have fun and use the search button above to see what all people have done to both models and then maybe make your decision.
And if you manage to find any NOS trizinger front fenders in wales, feel free to pm me because I should would be interested in buying 1 or several.

Thanks for the advice vealmonkey, i'll take that in mind. I think i'll definatly do a zinger, played around with some 70's but would like to try a yamaha, and its small enough to store easily. Ive seen quite a few white ones here, think they were only in europe? I'll put an update up when i have some more parts, most recent buy was a nos seat cover.

Definitley keep an eye open for the front fenders. They are really hard to get, like impossible here in the states.

By far the hardest!! I had petesatc looking for me over there in the UK.He even had his Yamaha dealer order one from Japan with no luck.It is the last item I need to complete my rebuild!!! It is going to be a bidding war if one hits ebay.......

I think the guys from vintage motorsports had one done in fiberglass for the zinger restore for the honda museum. I wonder why they never sold them?
