LOL Ive always wanted to do this,,, and I finally went and found everything to do it with,,,the bottle is filled with antifreeze so it doesnt crush and the bolt holding the line on has 3 O-rings so it doesnt leak...so what does everyone think??? How real does it look??? :naughty:

Not to be a smart arse but mount it up nicer dude, geez, you could at least cut the rubber square although I wouldn't mount it that way at all.
I must admit that 1st, for a few seconds:lol: , I thought you were serious.

ya hahah I totally thought for a split second that someone was crazy enough to slap a bottle on their bike. As if 2 strokes didnt have enough unpredictability in power band lol
ya clean that up, if you want people to take you seriously make it look "real" :D

Yeah I know the mounting looks like crap, but thats the only piece of rubber I had at the moment. Im gonna get some better clamps, and cut a piece of car radiator hose in place of that other piece,, one thats a bit more square. The piece on there now I couldnt cut straight because I had to cut around the knobs (its a piece of a bad tire). It will look a lot better when Im done.
although I wouldn't mount it that way at all.
Where would you put it? I remember a member here mounting a bottle in this spot,,, although I think they had a 6 pack rack that it actually clamped to. Theres really no room for it anywhere else,, its kinda out of the way where its mounted now.

No,no .......I just meant the type of mounting your doing, the location is just fine.
Don't mind me, I'm just really picky with how things look and everytime I see something that could use improvement, my mind automatically goes to thinking in that mode, trying to think how the guy can make it look more sayno:D
I didn't give it much thought yet but off the top of my head if you cut say a 2"X2" block of wood (maybe a bit bigger if you can find something) and with jig saw cut curves on opposite sides to fit the contour of grab bar and bottle then it would fit real snug and have a nice fitment to it. Just paint it black then so it "looks" like metal.
HEY!! Another idea! Drill two small holes thru block and grab bar and use bolts/nuts so you don't have the strap going around the grab bar, then on other side (bottle side) make slots/holes for clamp so it just neatly goes around bottle and through wood !
Even if you didn't make the holes/slots, you can still at least mount it by the clamps just arond the wood and not the bar, it would look much better that way then around grab bar for sure.
I say wood because using a block of metal would be too time consuming for a joke, ya know ?

This is how it's done on a Z. The green straps are tiedowns cause it's on the trailer ready to go.

Im exactly the same way, I always have to have things looking 'flush' and 'factory'. I just stuck it on like that, just to see how it would look. I like that wood block idea though, I think Ill go with that.

I've seen a empty propane tank, painted with a NOS sticker on it. I was sure it was a real tank, until I seen no solinoids and no switch. I am not sure about having any type of explosive tank on a 2 stroke. Bad enough it has a gas tank. lol

Ya as long as you race someone that you know you will beat, cause if you lose to someone they will think they just beat a bike with real NOS.
