ok guys im torn here...i have a 85 250r plastics are toast carrier and bearings are toast transmission is toast seat cover is toast bent front forks...but the motor runs great and its mostly complete....i have a guy offering to trade me 2 84 200s's one being in almost mint condition and the other in good running condition but missing the rear fenders and seat is a little messed up...i will still have a 250r roller but it needs a mess load of work and i also have my 350x in good condition... i could sell the 200s with no fenders and get money to work on the roller 250r what do you guys think on this deal?

I think it sounds good. I personally love the 200s's. I have made a lot off the one I parted out. I would do it. Like you said you would have a rider and the other to fund your R.

Jeez, toasted EVERYTHING, basically, huh? I would give it away simply for the "minty" 200s, then sell that and finance your 250R roller with a DECENT engine and parts. The thing you gotta do is swap all the crap parts from the roller you intend to keep onto the "traded" 250R, so you're not giving away any parts you'll have to get later on.

That's how it's done. You might as well give the guy a complete basket case, you'll have to buy less new stuff.

My ? is why would the guy do that ? Your getting a far better deal then he is :beer

The almost mint (if it is?) 200S should be worth at least 6-800 right there and the R is certainly not even close to that.
