Im really excited for this bike right now, I am trying to finish assembling it for our big thanksgiving ride at lil sahara in oklahoma. The bike is currently in pieces and in crates :lol: I had planned to sand blast and powder coat everything before the ride but ran out of time. Also had to put off the 10" front wheel/tire set up I had wanted to run as well as the new black rear maier fenders. Heres all the goodies I just got this weekend
New:
- 39mm carb
- K&N filter with filter sock thingy
- grips
- carbon fiber 'look' thumb throttle with chrome thumb lever
- new bearings/bushings for the swing arm
- new bearings/bushings for the rear axle
- new bearings/bushings for the front hub
- douglass .190 10" wheels for the rear
- set of 20" sand paddles to fit the new shinny wheels :D
- gasket kit for the engine
- 300R head gasket and base gasket
- new billet brake lever and perch
- big bag of honda oem parts (bushings/collars/nuts/bolts/washers/gromments etc)
- new bearings etc for the tripple tree
- X-Ring chain
- new 14 tooth front sprocket and rear sprocket
other neat parts in the works/sitting in living room:
- PAINTED RESTORED TANK from SYKOLINCOLN (best part so far:naughty: )
- painted 350x head light unit from SYKOLINCOLN
- carbon fiber 'look' front fender
- recovered seat from Tammy ( <--she rocks!! seat cover queen:w00t: )
- +6" custom built chrome molly swing arm that is being chromed as we speak
- 300R big bore kit
- making a custom throttle cable
- probably maknig a custom swing arm bolt if I cant find one to buy :wondering
- rebuilt front forks
- recharged rear shock set up
- custom made tank shrouds and chain gaurd
theres a bunch of other junk I cant think of here, but im real excited for this ride and hope everything goes back together right! Im going to be a :postwhore with putting up all the pictures of the custom swing arm and bike re-assembly :D I hate that I had to put off the powder coating right now though, it wont look as pretty in the sand dunes with the beat up stock red paint, rear plastics, and stock front wheel/tire. but hey, im too anxious to care at this point :lol:
