Got a call from a buddy of mine today ..we are going to give the 08 areacross A run fo the money.. He will be the rider on 2 450f's and I will be the head mechanic. I hope I return from this adventure but 2 wheels run deep in me. I'm totally sure once I step inside the arena and get in the groove of the whole scene,,I will be hooked. Also I will have to ware RED:D

the first race will be here in our own home city Nov 30-Dec-2 :Bounce

YES Im excited,,Got the Old Mx ride race truck with a full shop and sleeper,watertank/washer,, the whole 9.. the stuff I wish I had.. gotta meet this comeing week to go over sprocket's and tires.. yes I have been looking for some time now for a bike, but it looks going into winter that somethings would have to go.So I'm gonna hold off for now..:Bounce

most like the 250 but there's national riders on 450's some with bigbores

Good for you! Sounds like a lot of fun. I've been into mx for almost as long as three-wheelers. I raced an ereanacross in Worchester once. I thought because I was an a-class rider and had a pro licence for nationals that I could go to the areanacross and be all set. Turns out most of those guys have replica tracks to practice on and that was the first time I'd seen one. Wish I'd had a chance to play on one of those tracks first. What rider will you be wrenching for? Is there a track that's set up for areanacross to practice at? Will you get to moto too? I have a few friends I ride with that are racing that series. Sorry to hear you'll be wearing red :lol: Maybe you can do an intermission show on one of your Z's and hit the catipolt jump:cool: Do you work full time as well? At least you'll be traveling in style with the custom hauler.:beer

my buddy Dan will be rideing, novice class and +30,,depending on how close the two motos are together.Maybe just one. No seat time for me ,,You get practice laps that all.He's gonna run them till the money runs out ,,,,hahaha heck I just rode 34miles on the tt600:D

I figured you were talking about the pro class. The amateur riders get to ride a toned down version of the pro track. Alot safer for the beginers ;)

we took a 450f,a 01 cr125 and a cobra

started out the day at 5am with 8 inches of fresh unplowed roads..

got there and got setup inside in the pits ..signed in and got ready for practice..

Had a problem in the first practice with the cobra.. Cold weather ..no warm up inside at all..these little rockets run very thin oil and it had bel-ray gear saver in it..witch made the clutch slip something fierce..
I took it out side drained the oil and pulled the cover and sprayed the clutch with brake cleaner and filled it back up with cobra oil..mutch like ATF.
all good..:)

Dan rode the 450 in the +30 and novice.. Final moto he placed 8th and got a plaque.. the novice main was something different .. I took the bike out side and warmed it up before the moto..good to go right... would not start on the gate!! stupid 4 bangers:eek:
one guy jumped off his bike on the gate, jumped on the 450 and it fired on the second kick...WTF!
gate dropped made one lap and it died..... THE CHOKE WAS ON!!:mad:
The same guy who got the bike started on the gate got the hole shot and won the race:lol: We took the DNF
Eric rode the 125 in the +30 and the novice class
he took 5th place in the +30 on a 125, after a call by me to change the front sprocket to keep up to the big bikes.. He was the fastest through the whoops and really cought guys through that area. He ran the whole track in second gear and got into 3rd on the strait .. he said it was awesome and he thought he had a auto clutch:lol:
novice class he took 6th place and was a wild start ,slamming bars the whole strait ..last lap he almost got landed on by another guy launching off the sky shot ..Im talking mear inches..he had no idea he was that close..
Eric boy raced the cobra and took last in his class ..it all about fun right..

great time had by all and I still got a headache from the fumes:wondering

also there was alot of talk of putting a team together for the 08 outdoor season and the night races:)
