I just had my forks redone on my 86 250r and ive had them off the atc for a month or more, everything went back together good, except for the brakes. Are the caliper mounting bolts suppose to be the same size? Cause I had this big dumb gold nut in the box on one of the bolts and im looking at it when it was going back together and it doesnt look like something Honda would use as a spacer so the bottom bolt wont hit the disc on the backside. So basically what im sayin is without this big dumb gold nut on there the lower caliper mounting bolt goes thru and hits the disc. Someone help, cause its pissin me off.

i got an 85 and just recently put new forks on.......caliper bolts are the same length on mine....if you misplaced a bolt i would (and did several times) run to the local hardware store and buy me a new bolt!!! ;) :-D

additionally...if the bolt without the big gold nut pulls up tight ...i might be tempted to just cut it off a little shorter...just a thought....good luck...peice of cake man ;)

Well according to mr atc the bolts should be 40mm long and i measured em in inches and go 1-3/4 inch which is long than 40 so i think there the wrong ones.
