Well if you would explain what it looks like I can tell you.. Like what does the frame look like? Round or square?

If yours has a round tube frame, all the parts that came off an 83-85 200X will fit. If it's a square tube frame, all parts off an 86-87 X will fit.
I have a goodish amount of 86/87 X parts, PM me with what you need if you need anything.

Should be a sticker on the downtube, if not, you could post a pic and we could tell you if it's atleast an '83-85 or '86-87.
If I'm not mistaken, all '83-85 X parts will interchange, but not sure about '86-87.
EDIT: RedRider_AK beat me to it
These are the pics when it was on ebay i know it looks a bit shite but thats as good as i could find 1 as they are very rare over here in the UK...

The only difference between 200X's in 86 and 87 were the colors of the swingarm, I believe. The 87 has a red swingarm (mine does!) and the 86 was a silvery color.
Looks to me like a 1st Gen (83-85). More popular and widespread.
I am loving the car wheels and tires.

86/7 Parts won't work on that trike. 83-5 parts will. I am with Syko I think it's a 83. I think that is the year they had the black seat. Look on the stearing neck and look for the #s. I believe the #s are listed on the 3ww home page. If not post them up & I will check them tomorrow for you.
yep judgin by the second set of pics its a 1983 model 200x

The second, I dont know, but the tank sticker is from an 83 or 84. 85+ is red/white/blue

83 200X's had the tubular swingarm, black forks and boots, and black seat. 84 200X's had a square steel swingarm, black forks and boots, and black seat. 85 had natural aluminum colored forks and blue boots, and a blue seat. 86's were a completely different machine, 6 speed, white plastic, square tube frame, blue fork boots, natural aluminum fork legs, 1 in. longer forks, blue seat, red tank shrouds, etc. 87 same as 86 except, had white tank shrouds, dash, different graphics, and keyed ignition. Hope this helps.
Cheers for all your help guys.
So from what you all think both mine are 83 models.
I hope they are both the same that was any new bits i order i can order 2 of everything and get some discounts lol
SO
My next question is what colours shall i go for as ill be ordering my new plastics just after xmas so red or white?
Your opinions please

Id say red. I really dont like my white plastics, but since I didnt want to get all red I just got the white maiers. I dont like them because as soon as you get them scuffed up dirt gets in there and stains them until you use steel wool to get all the dirt out. Then they get tan again as soon as you get dust on them.
Im unsure what to do.
Im undecided on taking them back to factory standard or change to white or even black

85 200X's also had a blue shock spring. 1st gen 200X rear shocks and 2nd gen are not interchangeable. The 1st gen have a forked lower shock mount, the 86/87 are just the opposite.

I'm with white too.
My '83 is white with a blue seat, frame, and tank shrouds, and I'm thinking of going with white lower fork tubes, and blue fork boots.
I think white gives it a much cleaner look, and brings out the blue nicely.
Heres is my VIN number if this helps to know for sure what year it is........

This one's an 83 WAD, but if you want it to look like an 85 i have blue fork boot's :naughty: :naughty:

83 x had a black seat and red orange and some other color decal on the tank, and a tubular swinger...the 84 has the same decals and seat color, but a boxed swinger, with black fork boots, the 85 has red white and blue decals along with a blue seat that has 200x printed on it, plus the boxed swinger, and blue forkboots. 86 and 87 are totally different models all together.

Hi 83 modles you have there , get a 200s engine fit a 200x piston and cam and have a auto x , its a lot easer to get a 200x engine hear in the UK , that is what i have done to one of my 200x , you did not get 85 86 87 200x hear in the UK or if you did there was only a handfull , or you can just put in a 200s engine with out any mods still goes good

What you mean by Autox
Reason im asking as this 1 is for the misses so a auto may be better for her.

a engine out of a 185 or a 200s atc will fit in the 200x frame the 185 200s dose not have a clutch sem auto , so the 200x becomes a 200 autox , wireing is a little difrant but a easy swap , hears my autox http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a235/snakemaster1/2019.jpg
you can see the pull start on the 200s engine (motor)
