ok, from this list, what would be some good sand tires for my 84 R?
looking for excellent traction and good steering control.

or, if you have a different suggestion that falls in my 80 MAX per tire price range, post a link!

also, will i really need a different front tire? i dont plan on going at extreme speeds.

some tires have an option of 18 inch or 20 inch for my wheels. would there be a significant difference between the sizes?

Any of you guys run haulers on your trikes? I have them on my quad and they dont turn near as well as the edge paddles I had before.... I am needing to get some paddles for my tecate and I am considering getting another set of edges or maybe some sand skates... I fear that the haulers might cause excessive wheelies on my trike and may want to resist turning with my extended axle...

I have the Sand Stars. 20x11-8. 8 paddle. They are only 10 inches wide once mounted and inflated. This is the only official sand tire I have run yet. They hook up really good, and dont slide on sidehills. The only complaint I have about them is you cant slide them around at all when cornering, wich makes turnin a little harder. I dont imagine any sand tire would let you turn very easily though. As far as # paddles. So far I am happy with 8 paddles. They seem to be just right for traction vs power.

EDIT- BTW, I have an extended axle too....so on a negative side, it makes it harder to turn, and on the positive side, it makes you less likely to come up on two wheels while turning. Haha. I should try running them on a slimmer axle and see if what that does as far as turning.

My front knobby tire tends to dig in while cornering in the sand, creating a snowplow effect. I want to try something like the sandstar front dual rib tire. I might have to make it myself though.

go with the Skat Trak Edge! hands down the best tire for the 2stroke trikes. its buffed so it lite and thats was you want to reach max RPMs in the sand not some heave molded tire, thats just unsprung weight. oh yeah and rockymountain is best place for tire prices.

I personally love the kenda Geckos. They hook up when you want them too, and you can slide them like a strait paddle. Best of both worlds, I have them on ALL my 250R's (83 and 2 86's)

OH!
I have ran thes in a 9" and a 10" wheel, and the 10 is more of a flat profile, where the 9's have a little bit more of a rounded shape. The 9's hook up insaneley well on my Stock 86 250R.

so what would be better? a 9 or 10 inch wheel tire?
and, also, what about the height of the tire? im looking for a good traction/slide combo.

are those any good for dune riding? price seems good.
