I have 2 of these.. we ride them more then anything we have!! What a blast they are. Well it's time to UPGRADE and I want to know what you guys think about putting a 150cc Lifan motor in one of them?? Will it fit ?? and will it last very long?? I think I'm going to just put a high comp piston and a biger carb on the other one. That way My kids can still ride one. and my buddys can get skinned up on the other one...lol I haven't done much work on the little motors but I don't think it would be hard. What do you think??

Yes it will fit. You might need to drill the mounting holes in the frame on the 70 though. The lifans use bigger bolts to hold the engine, and the 70 has tiny bolts. It should last pretty long, alot of people have been putting them in 70s and 200xs here and seems like they work quite well.

Man, there are like 3 or 4 diferent style motors. they all say they are Lifan. They don't look the same some are black, some are silver, some say Lifan on the side some don't. I have looked till I don't know anymore.

they are all lifan,, they are all based on a 70 transmission so they will all bolt in,, BUT most are kick start,, so you might want to look into a electric start,, they also have several shift patterns also,,, make sure the one you decied on ,, has all the trinkets to hook them up and run too,,,, some of the sellers leave out things to get the initial price down,,,,
