If I order this kit (http://www.dratv.com/11lishki.html), what all would be needed. Would it bolt directly in? Could I run a front fender?

Anyone used this kit?

Sorry, the 110 kit, kick, 4spd.

Maybe this will work, http://www.dratv.com/newengines.html

Their website seems to have changed over the past couple of days. There was a long desciption on there about the kit and having to shorten the throttle cable.

It comes with the carb and filter, intake, everything I think to drop in.

On the lifan engines and the stock 70 frame alot of people seem to use a different intake manifold so the carb will clear the frame and the tank better. I'm not sure if you are using the electric start engine, but you will need to fabricate a battery holder and such for your battery. Most people have been fabricating a holder that is welded to the bottom rear skid pan. The main part is for the wiring. I'm not sure about what people are using any of the premade wiring harnesses or not. You might need a couple of the multi wire plastic socket to keep the wiring looking professional or you could just go with individual quick connects. If you are wanting to convert a kick start to pull start you will have to do some fabricating as well. Alot less wiring though. Depends on what you are good at doing and what kind of access you have to alot of tools and such. The build takes a little time but well worth the money and the time.

The kick would be fine with me, I wouldn't wire up electric start, at least not at first. I'm pretty sure that it comes with the right intake and filter to clear the frame, I need to call to be sure.

Will the stock exhaust hook up right? The rear mount on the exhaust may have to, be fab'd but that's ok.

There is another website, atc70.com that has items for the atc70 also. They have 2 nice exhausts, kind of pricey, but a bolt on fit for a stock 70. They also offer different wheels and tires, higher handlebar kits and some billet items for the 70. The site is getting more and more parts all the time.

Thanks, I'll check it out.

Anyone running this 110 kit I'm looking at?

The stock exhaust will not bolt up to a electric start motor with the bottom mounted starter, it can be made to fit with a little welding ( add a piece to the header). Most people have been going to the ATC70.com pipe or modding a XR50 (bigbore) exhaust that goes up over the engine and not underneath like a stocker. I put a 110 Lifan in a 70 and it is alot of fun and runs real well. You will have some problems with the kickstarter clearing the rear fenders since they kick back. Either hack up the fenders, convert to a flip up rear seat assy. , convert to pull start (not a bolt on but does not sound to hard to do) or hook up the electric start. I went with the elec. start setup and a BBR exhaust on the one I did.

I have alot of questions before trying it. I'll go the electric start route.

What starter did you use? I couldn't find one on dratv.

Are you still able to run a front fender?

Direct bolt in?

Thanks Blue!

The motor hadd the electric starter on it?? I do not know about the fender for sure since the one we did had A+ frt suspension on it. The motor bolts right in to the frame.

<---- 138 lifan

no electric start, screw all that wiring and welding. unless you have the time and patience.

large carb that comes with it will hit the gas tank if you use the supplied intake. the intake is too tall. i bought a shorter one but the inside diameter was too small and it choked the engine. i just took the tank off and banged it in so the carb will fit with the correct intake.

cut a good inch off of the kick starter and it's fine.

if your going to spend the money on a 110, why not get a 138?

you also need an over the top exhaust, unless you dont need the kick starter. i bought a cheapie off of ebay and run it without the silencer. mainly because it was wheelied over and it snapped off. but to tell you the truth, i'd rather keep it like that because the power increase was so noticeable after it broke off. that and the blue flames shooting out of it is pretty cool too.

So the starter is internal, I see.

Did you use dratv's wiring harness's and stuff to hook up the ES? You have to fab a power, ground, relay, solenoid, and switch? Is your kill switch still stock, or in the starter switch?

Looks great blue!

you could use your stock kill switch and his push button starter switch like i'm doing on the 200x

We used a Honda ATC200/ATc25M/TRX125 type kill switch its small and compact and has kill, headlight hi/lo and startbuttons in it. The wiring was a little troublesome but we figured it out, I did not get it from Dr ATV so it was not as easy as I think some of them are now. I just bought another motor off eBay for my A+ 70 and it came complete with all wiring and switches, still currently putting that one together.
