I went riding this weekend on my 350x and was the only trike in sight. I made it through all the mud holes and the washouts, crossed a few rivers, and was coated from head to toe in mud. I only had to get off twice to throw it onto some solid ground, and needed to be pulled up a hill after crossing the river because i couldn't get a run at it. I felt like a punk, but my buddy runs pro class ice & cross country racing and he could'nt get my X up it either. All these guys had 300's -700's with winches and had to pull each other out all day. The problem was in one water hole it just died. I got it restarted and then noticed the hole on bottom of the muffler. I looked on bike bandit and it says there is a gasket and muffler lid. Can this hole cause me to suck up water? and what the hell is it for? I also realized that I'm getting old because I was so sore last night I was afraid I was going to trailprotrailprotrailprotrailpro my pants if I coughed :D

I'm not sure what the hole is, or what it's for? but the exhaust pipe has positive pressure...so no chance of sucking in any water!

I think its a clean out for the exhaust. Should be blown out by now bolt her back on. I had to do some manual winching yesterday too, I'm feeling it a little this morning.

The hole in the exhaust is for cleaning it out. Remove the bolt and rev it up, let off, rev it up, and let off for about 20-25 times. I do it about once every year. Helps to improve the flow.
