should i not be able to pull my tail light out and stick a test light there to see if i have power. if it dosent light what could be the problem?starting to rebuild a 85 200x.

Should have 12 volts when the headlight is on. I think it's a brn and grn wire. The ground is usually not good or the bulb is gone, unless some meathead messed with the wiring harness....

when i flip the switch to run postion the light dosent come on at all.
