pushrod lifan 200? Zongshen?

I've been looking at buying a lifan 200 or a similar chinese honda copy for quite a while now, and the main thing I'm not liking is the price tag. I have noticed that I can save quite a bit by getting a pushrod style engine instead of the overhead cam, but I'm not sure if I'll be just as happy with the pushrod style. The only downfall I have heard of is that the pushrod engines make more noise and ticking sounds, and I'm not sure how bad the noise really is.

My main question is if I should stay away from the pushrod engines or not, and I was also wondering if anyone has any experience with Zongshen engines and how they compare to the Lifans. They appear to look very similar.

push rod engines generally dont rev as hard and make less power, the up side is the simplicity of the design and they generally last longer.

I dunno if the push rod engines bolt straight in or not but the overhead cam models will bolt straight in.
