Pipe needs to be painted. Maybe these pics will help!! some say its a jemco pipe and others say its a klems. What ever it is it sure makes more HP than the DG!!!

I spy that Z's twin brother in the background there! very nice!

I was doing some reserch for you back when you first asked about this pipe. Its a wonder why there in really no info about them on the internet. at least I didn't find much using google. It looks like a klemm to be from the other pics I've seen. I never seen or heard of jemco so I cant offer up anything on that. Anyone got a Z cobra pipe to take some pics of.. (mostly because I dont think I've ever seen one up close.

MAybe post these pics in the Driscoll sticky thread. he may know. Triztunes also knows his stuff when it comes to Z's.

Sorry I cant be of more assistance to you....

Take the paint off and rub her down with some WD after every ride, now that would be sweet. BTW sweet Z man, used to have a clean 86 at one time myself.

Man I love the pipe, but the Z took my eyes off the pipe. What a nice machine. Looks like you just bought it off the showroom floor. You get it in this shape or did you restore? Post up pics of the twin aswell.

The pipe on the picture looks similar to a pipe in my workshop. Maybe you could post another detail pic of the piece close to the exhaust port.
The pipe in my shop still has a brand sticker on (it's new and unused), if it's the same pipe like yours, I will let you tomorrow what brand it is.

After checking the pipe, counting the sections (cones) and looking at the mounting bracket, I´m almost 100% sure that you have a CRF pipe there. I only removed the CRF sticker from mine because I want to get it reproduced.
I will also copy this pipe one on one in stainless steel, maybe the bracket will be a little different since I don´t like it this way.
Congrats on that pipe, I´ve only seen 2 of these in the last 6 years, yours and mine.
I love the cone-style pipes way more than the f****ing cheap looking stamped ones.....

I can assure you that my pipe is 100% CRF (Crotch Rocket Factory - Goleta - California) because I still have the original sticker. You can see on the pic where the sticker was. Yours seems to be the same........

My CRF pipe is new and unused, I'm keeping this for good until I've reproduced it from stainless steel.

So I picked this chrome Tri Z pipe a week ago or so on Ebay, Im not sure who makes it? Its the one in the middle along with my stocker and Dynoport for comparison. I tried a search on the forums and did not see anything that looked the same. Thanks for your help!

Oh yeah it came with a basic aluminum silencer nothing special, and there are no markings on either piece. My answer 2 silencer looks like its made better than the one that it came with IMO.

What did the eBay ad say about the pipe? Did it give a name or description in the ad? Seems that the seller might have known something about it.

The ad was pretty vague, it came from a tri z racer in San Deigo, CA. From the condition it's in there are not much hours on it. I will get some pics of the silencer when the kids go to sleep. I will try to find the eBay ad too.

It might be an LRD set up. Search for pics on the site. I might have one of my old LRD?? Not sure though.

Yup that looks like the same pipe ive got too. Ive yet to run the pipe, but very soon its going on my new 86 tri z with some other upgrades. The silencer that came with my pipe is quite lighter than that Answer II silencer,, shorter too.

The only thing i dont like about the silencer is that its missing the stamped spark arrestor info needed to ride in some locations which require them. My Dyno Port silencer is missing the same spark arrestor info.

Neverlift. Yours is definately a LRD pipe. 3wd, yours has different spring hooks. I always thought it was a lrd. I remember when you bought it, I kept asking you about your new lrd pipe. Guy had it listed as lrd or Klemm, and its definately not a Klemm. In my opinion, LRD pipes are as beautiful as it gets. LRD and CRF.

It is a sick pipe. I wish I Had it. Another one was up on ebay a couple months ago. I should have bought it.
