Those are probably the ones I picked up,one is setup for flat track and the other one is setup for mx. I asked the guy I got the from who made the conversion but he didn't know either.

Dustin, A+ Inc, also did trike conversions of the kx60 and it wouldn't suprise me if they did a quad conversion also.

The swingarm on the Tricky Dicks conversion is almost identical to the ones on the quads but the rear axle is completely different, mine have axles from a racing gokart.

In the 3rd scan, upper right pic I think is a Tri-z, has a upper mounted gas tank (between legs) and Cal-fab swing arm.

Picture 4 is either the same or a different Z same gas tank and arm, with a cal fab sticker below number plate.

Thanks for the scans hrc, after looking at these I don't think mine are astro conversions.

they still have the motorcycle frame, with a swinger and a front end attaced to them, the stearing stem goes straight through the old stem of the bike, and from what I know they use a cust down form of the 250R plastic

80cc trike:)

Hey Raffa, that's an 84 KX60. The seat cover and the air-cooled engine give it away.

Did the KX60 quads come with any fenders? They will be a nightmare to get if not. If they did, you could make some fiberglass copies from them. I can't wait to see them finished some day.

Dustin87R

No they didn't come with any fenders but the guy I got them from said he ran cut down T4 fenders.

scooterroo

sweet, bet you could run a few different fenders on that. what about the gastank and nose though? t4 as well? you could always modify custom blaster fenders for the rear... not sure on th efront though. you going to be doing a full resto on this?

scooterroo

from what i understand they were rather fast for smaller quads. probably alot faster and better then some of the newer mini's out there.

How coincidental.... I am currently installing a 1991 water cooled KX60 engine in my daughter's 2007 DRR DRX2 mini quad (dual a-arm, originally a water cooled 70). She will be going from a 6hp CVT to about a 13hp 5 speed (or is it 6, I forget). Dune killer for my 6 year old!!

Im sure the kx80 models would rip, the 60s are a little underpowered for anyone over 100 lbs.

The kx 85 engined blaster that I built for my son ripped. It pulls my 180 lbs around fine. Really have to keep it up in the power band though. Our problem was too many people complained at the races saying it wasnt fair.

Thats wheelie cute !.....how you been Mr. Nos ? ....still racing ?

I had a year of no physical activity then major hip surgery to fix the problem. Since then (year and a half) I've tried to race several times with poor luck, (blew a motor on the last lap passing for the lead, spun out in the lead in the last lap, and flipped and broke my wrist) in all 3 races I've attempted. Trying to get back into it, but it's hard, I'm 50lbs more now and just don't have the spunk anymorehttp://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20161024/e6f1be1aabaf6798a873a80c1f677893.jpg
